Park District Hosts 'Health, Fitness & Nutrition Expo' on Sunday ...

If your New Year's resolutions included anything about leading a healthier lifestyle in 2013, plan to stop by the free "Health, Fitness and Nutrition Expo" this Sunday, Jan. 6, at Park Place in Crystal Lake.

The Crystal Lake Park District has assembled nearly 30 vendors representing all facets of the health and fitness field who will be offering advice, discounts, raffle prizes and a wealth of information relating to all things healthy, according to Jenny Leech, public information coordinator for the park district.

The expo is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Park Place, 406 W. Woodstock St. (corner of Oak Street), in Crystal Lake.

Have you been thinking about taking up a new sport like tennis, rowing, rock climbing, running or martial arts?

Professionals from The Racket Club, the Crystal Lake Rowing Club, The Running Depot, The North Wall, and AKF Martial Arts will be at the expo ready to offer insight and advice, Leech said. ?

Looking for a new exercise program in 2013?

Several expo vendors specialize in a plethora of cardio workout programs such as Centegra, Health Bridge Fitness, Intrigue Fitness, Jazzercise, Title Boxing Club and the Crystal Lake Park District, said Leech.?
