Low Paying Job Offered On Boston Law School's ... - Business Insider

A Boston law firm is reportedly advertising for a full-time associate whose salary would be $5,000 shy of what the state's minimum wage would make you in a year.

Gilbert & O' Bryan, LLP is offering the position for just $10,000 a year.

The Boston Business Journal received a tip about the ridiculous? offer from a Boston graduate who spotted it on the school's job listings.

Above The Law also received a tip from the same person and posted some of the comments about the offer made by the graduate, who was in shock that the law school actually advertised the job.

The outrage is understandable since the expected salary of a Boston Law School graduate is around $160,000 a year, according to the school.

The ad says that it offers an "excellent position to new lawyers and those returning to a law career."

Apparently, the ad is appealing to some job seekers, as the firm told BBJ that it had already received 32 applications.
